Verify against published manuals

Handloading is safety-critical. Always verify any load you assemble against current published data from Hodgdon, Sierra, Hornady, or Lyman for your exact components; start at the published starting charge and work up while watching for pressure signs. If anything you read anywhere — including a number you typed into this site — conflicts with a current manual, the manual governs.

Predicted is not measured

Trajectory figures are computed from standard drag models and published ballistic coefficients. They are estimates. Factory ammunition figures are the manufacturers' published values from their test equipment; your rifle will differ. Chronograph your own ammunition and confirm impacts at distance before using any card in the field.

Your data

The Kit stores everything in your own browser. We do not receive, see, or hold your rifles, loads, or strings. Export your log if it matters to you.
